Health Benefits of the Ingredients

  1. Avocado
Avocados are packed with monounsaturated fats that support heart health and help lower bad cholesterol. Avocados are an extremely good source of potassium, regulating blood pressure, and fiber, aiding in digestion. In addition, they are very filling and full of nutrients, making them the star ingredient of this recipe  (Healthline).
  2. Eggs
Eggs are a fantastic source of high-quality protein and provide essential nutrients like vitamin D, which supports bone health, and choline, crucial for brain function. They also contain antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin, which are beneficial for eye health (Mayo Clinic).
  3. Sourdough Bread
Naturally fermented bread, sourdough is significantly more digestible than its store-bought counterpart and contains a lower glycemic index. The probiotic properties of the bread would help gut health, with the chewy texture also complementing creamy avocado perfectly (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health).
  4. Garlic Powder
Garlic powder provides a subtle flavor boost while offering immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory benefits, thanks to its active compound allicin (Cleveland Clinic).
  5. Salt
A pinch of salt enhances the flavors in your dish while adding trace minerals. Opting for Himalayan or sea salt can increase mineral intake while keeping sodium levels balanced (Healthline).
  6. Black Pepper
Black pepper aids digestion and enhances nutrient absorption with its active compound, piperine, making it an excellent seasoning choice (WebMD).
