Pepper Avocado Sauce

This pepper and avocado sauce is amazing. When I had it, I kept wanting more! It is not only simple to make, but it is also delicious and nutritious, with the best ingredients. This is great for both dinner and lunch, maybe even breakfast! It can be paired up with practically any veggies, as well as other foods, such as eggs.

  • Avocado: Avocados a‍re loaded with heart-healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants that promote overall well-being, making t‍hem a creamy, nutrient-dense addition (Healthline).
  • Peppers: Not only are peppers low in calories, but they also have vitamin C and beta-carotene. They come in a variety of colors (red, yellow, orange, green) and it is always great to eat the rainbow! (Healthline)
  • Lemon: Lemons give a boost to your immune system, having vitamin C and many antioxidants. It is said that they help with weight loss, prevent cancer, lower stroke risk, and prevent asthma. (Medical News Today)
  • Olive Oil: Olive oil has a high percentage of antioxidants and polyphenols. (UC Davis Health)
  • Salt: A pinch of salt enhances the flavors in your dish while adding trace minerals. Opting for Himalayan or sea salt can increase mineral intake while keeping sodium levels balanced (Healthline).
  • Black Pepper
    Black pepper aids digestion and enhances nutrient absorption with its active compound, piperine, making it an excellent seasoning choice (WebMD).

Ingredients (Serves 4 – 6):

  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 1 and a 1/3 whole roasted peppers or 5 pieces of bottled roasted peppers
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 lemon
  • 10 drops of spicy sauce (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut up half and avocado and place it in a blender.

    2. Squeeze a whole lemon and put the juice in the blender as well.

    3. Place the 5 bottled pieces of roasted peppers or 1 and 1/3 of whole roasted peppers into the blender.

    4. Add a pinch of salt and pepper into the blender.

    5. Pour 3 tablespoons of olive oil into the blender.

    6. Blend until smooth.

    7. Enjoy!
